Privacy Policy

Trusted in Omaha is a MediaSavior property, run by MediaSavior L.L.C., in Omaha, Nebraska ("we", "us"). This policy says what trustedinomaha.com collects, why, who receives it, and the choices you have. It is written from what the site actually does.

Trusted in Omaha is a referral and matching service, not a contractor or licensed provider. Some businesses pay for placement or referrals, and paid placements may be prioritized in matches.

What we collect

What you send us

• A request for a match: describe the perfect business for what you need, category, zip code, name, email, phone and best way to reach you, your agreement to be contacted, the version of the consent wording you agreed to and when.
• The siding quiz: your answer to each question it asks, your first name and phone, your last name, email and zip code if you give them, the version of the consent wording shown under the phone field, and the ad click and campaign values in the address you arrived at, if it had any.
• A privacy request: what you are asking for, name, email, phone you gave us and anything else.
• An email you send us: what it says and the address it comes from.

Each form also sends the page it was on and how long the form was open, which helps us spot automated spam. A request is stored in a spreadsheet held with Google and emailed to us.

What your browser keeps

• While you write, the form keeps a draft in your own browser, so nothing is lost if the page closes. It stays on your device, and is cleared once the request is sent, or after 14 days.
• Your cookie choice, kept in your browser for 365 days, then you are asked again.
• After a request is sent, a short note naming it by a random id, so the thank-you page counts it once and never again on a refresh. After the siding quiz it also holds the first name you gave, so that page can greet you by it; the name stays in that browser tab, is sent nowhere, and is gone when the tab is closed.

Each company receives what its tool collects, such as the pages you view, the links you click, your browser and device, your IP address and an identifier it keeps on your device, and handles it under its own privacy policy. When a request is sent, the thank-you page tells the tools you allowed that a request was made, with its random id and the category you picked. It never sends them what you wrote, your name, your email or your phone.

Session recording. Microsoft Clarity records how pages are scrolled, clicked and moved through, to show us where the site confuses people. The request and privacy forms are marked so Clarity does not record anything typed in them.

What the host sees

The company that hosts the site, Render, receives each request your browser makes for a page, including your IP address and browser, in order to serve it, and keeps its logs under its own policy.

How we use it

• To read your request and match you with an Omaha business for it.
• To pass your request to the businesses we match you with, and to contact you about it the way you agreed to.
• To answer a privacy request or an email.
• If you allowed the measurement tools: to see how the site is used and which ads lead to requests.
• To keep the site and the forms working, to keep spam out of them, and to meet legal obligations.

Who receives it

• The businesses we match you with. They receive what you wrote, your ZIP code, name, email, phone and how you want to be reached, so they can contact you about your request. Each handles it under its own privacy policy. Some of them pay us for placement or referrals.
• The companies that run our tools: Google, which holds our email and the spreadsheet of requests; Render, which hosts the site; and, only if you allowed them, Google, Meta and Microsoft for the measurement tools above.
• When the law requires it, or to protect our rights, property or safety, or anyone else's.
• A new owner, if the business is merged, financed or sold, under this policy.

Selling and sharing

When you send a request, you direct us to pass it to the businesses we match you with. That is the service you asked for. Some of those businesses pay us for placement or referrals, and some state privacy laws could treat a disclosure to a paying business as a sale. The advertising tools, if you allow them, can be "sharing" for targeted advertising under those laws.

You can opt out of both at any time, wherever you live:

• Sharing for advertising: choose Decline on the cookie banner, or let your browser send Global Privacy Control, which this site honors automatically. The measurement tools then do not load.
• Sale: use the form on the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page, or write to us. We then stop passing your information to any business, including any request already waiting to be matched.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

• Know what personal information we hold about you, where it came from, why we have it and who received it, and get a copy.
• Delete it.
• Correct it if it is wrong.
• Opt out of its sale or sharing, and of targeted advertising.
• Stop our calls, texts and emails.

Use the privacy request form or write to contact@mediasavior.com. We confirm a request comes from you by matching the email or phone you used with us, and may ask for one more detail if they do not match. Someone you authorize can ask for you with your signed permission. We answer within the time the law allows (45 days under California's law), and tell you if we need longer and why. If we decline a request, we say why, and you can ask us to reconsider by replying. We never charge you or treat you differently for using these rights.

Deleting your information from our records does not delete it from a business we already matched you with. Ask that business directly as well, and we will tell you which businesses received your request if you ask.

How long we keep it

We keep a request, and what we sent to the businesses we matched you with, for as long as we need it to match you and answer questions about the match, and no longer than 24 months after we receive it, unless the law requires us to keep it longer or you ask us to delete it sooner. A record of your opt-out or of a request to stop contacting you is kept for as long as it needs to be honored.

Security

The site is served only over HTTPS, loads no code from another site until you allow a tool, and the requests are kept in an account only we can sign in to. No method of sending or storing information is completely secure, so we cannot promise more than reasonable care.

Children

The site is for adults hiring a business. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, write to us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we change the date at the top. If a change affects what we do with information we already hold, we will ask before we do it.
